Right now, The Canadian forces is looking for professional worker in following jobs position: Biomedical Technician and Biomedical Engineer, specialy The Biomedical Electronics Technologist (BE TECH) Engineer, that will become a member of the Health Services team, provide technical maintenance, and repair support for medical, and dental equipment used in the Canadian Forces.

OVERVIEW

As the Biomedical Electronics Technologist Engineer they will provide technical support for the maintenance and repair of the medical and dental equipment used in the Canadian Forces, also will be employed in various settings. Such as in a regional repair facility, or with the Canadian Field Hospital, across Canada, and around the world.

What They Do as the Biomedical Electronics Technologists Engineer :

  • Being part of a medical/dental team in a detachment or with the Canadian Field Hospital, across Canada and around the world.
  • maintaining biomedical equipment in accordance with CSA and manufacturer's specifications, laboratory and diagnostic imaging equipment, as well as operating room, intensive care unit and dental equipment.
  • operating the soldering equipment and workshop tools, and perform duties related to administration and logistics.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS.
  • Biomedical Engineering Technologist diploma or the equivalent.
  • must meet Canadian Forces medical standards and successfully complete a selection process that includes interviews and a wide range of exams.
  • want to work on a variety of sophisticated medical equipment and systems, both independently and as part of a highly technical team.
The CF has introduced a series of recruitment allowances for eligible NCM applicants entering the Regular Force.
  • $10,000 signing bonus for NCMs with a post-secondary diploma or certificate.
  • $20,000 signing bonus for Military Occupation-qualified NCMs
  • $20,000 signing bonus for civilian trade-qualified NCMs.
These allowances apply to new recruits of Biomedical Electronics Technologists Engineer, re-enrolees and Reserve Force members who are transferred to this target Military Occupation group.

Depending on their qualification level, many recruits of Biomedical Electronics Technologists Engineer are also eligible for incentives such as promotion to the rank of Acting Corporal immediately after the successful completion of basic training.

TRAINING

The first stage of training for all new recruits is the 13-week Basic Military Qualification (BMQ) course at the Canadian Forces Leadership and Recruit School in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec.

Upon completion of the BMQ, Biomedical Electronics Technologists Engineer are assigned to their first posting. After one year of on-job training, they are considered for early promotion.
